2009年、広島市立大学大学院芸術学研究科博士前期課程修了。ベルリン・ヴァイセンゼー美術大学に留学。現在は広島を拠点に活動。印刷物などの二次元イメージを消しゴムで消し、その消しカスを素材として立体作品を制作する独自の手法で知られ、表象と物質、記憶や日常を主題に制作を行っている。主な展覧会に、個展「純真遺跡―愛のラビリンス―」（兵庫県立美術館、2019）、「瀬戸内国際芸術祭2019」（香川・小豆島）、「Spring Open Studio」（ISCP、ニューヨーク、2022）など。

Completed her MFA at Hiroshima City University in 2009 and exchange program at weißensee academy of art berlin, Berlin in 2018. Based in Hiroshima, Irie is known for transforming erased printed images into three-dimensional sculptures using eraser residue. Her work explores representation, materiality, memory, and everyday life. Selected exhibitions include Pure Ruins: Labyrinth of Love (Hyogo Prefectural Museum of Art, 2019), Setouchi Triennale 2019 (Shodoshima), and Spring Open Studio (ISCP, New York, 2022).
